水解聚丙烯酰胺（PHPA）用来包裹钻屑，稳定地层，同时还起着增粘、絮凝、减少钻头泥包、降滤失的作用。PHPA可以快速吸附亲水型固相而形成一层保护膜，这种膜具有润滑和降滤失的功能。PHPA在软的分散性地层和硬脆性地层均适用，这种产品可用于淡水、海水和一价盐水体系中，适用的pH范围为8.5-10.5。
应用范围/功能
稳定水敏性地层，防止泥包
用于配制清扫液或稠塞，定期清扫井眼
在低固相水基体系中提高膨润土的造浆率很少的用量下即可絮凝钻屑

抗温能力达150℃
能很好的包被钻屑，抑制钻屑分散
用在非分散体系时显著提升泥浆的润滑性
不发酵，不需要杀菌剂，加量少，效果明显
